Certificate Reciprocity Approach (Out-Of-State) (IL)

Description

Illinois offers full reciprocity of educator credentials. At the time of the initial evaluation for an Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL), educators are considered for all areas listed on their valid, comparable out of state license.  All out-of-state licenses must be equivalent to the Illinois Professional Educator License; temporary and provisional licenses are not honored for reciprocity.​
