Must pass Oregon State Exams before submitting joint application with Charter School.

Notes
Transcripts of the applicant’s post-secondary education and evidence of other experience and qualifications relevant to the teaching position the applicant is seeking are required.

Oregon also accepts basic skills tests WESTB, CBEST, or Praxis Core.

Notes:
Oregon relies on the ORELA test and accepts a limited number of tests from other states. For out of country applicants, transcripts must show substantial preparation in the Content Language.

This application must be filed jointly between applicant and School District.

Teachers must finish all requirements and apply for an Initial 1 Teaching license.

Notes:
A joint application from the district and the applicant is required.
Fingerprint Handler Sheet required. Processing fee $57.00

Transcript evaluation or some other convincing evidence that the applicant holds the equivalent of a U.S. BA or higher degree is required. The transcript and other evidence submitted will be evaluated for Content Language proficiency.
Teachers must finish all requirements and apply for an Initial 1 Teaching license.

GENERAL NOTES FOR THIS ROUTE
To meet the minimum qualifications for the Charter School Teacher Registration, you must:
· Be 18 years or older
· Have a letter of sponsorship from employing charter school (provided by your sponsoring charter school directly to TSPC);
· Transcripts of the applicant’s post-secondary education and evidence of other experience and qualifications relevant to the teaching position the applicant is seeking;
· Pass the required Protecting Student and Civil Rights in the Educational Environment exam;
· Pass a criminal background clearance, including fingerprints, if necessary.
