Renewal: Nonrenewable
If an exchange teacher completes one (1) year then returns to his/her native country for a minimum of one year, he/she may be issued another International Exchange Certificate for one (1) additional exchange teacher experience.

Notes:

Once you are hired by a Georgia school system you must submit to a criminal record background check.
If an exchange teacher completes one exchange teacher experience returns to his/her native country for a minimum of one year, he/she may be issued another International Exchange Certificate for one (1) additional exchange teacher experience.

GENERAL NOTES FOR THIS ROUTE
The International Exchange Certificate is a time-limited certificate designed to allow eligible educators from other nations to come to the United States to teach in Georgia schools for up to 3 years. The intent of this certificate is to provide a cultural exchange for Georgia students and international teachers, not necessarily a physical teacher exchange between two countries.

All Visa arrangements and employment details (salary, etc.) are the responsibility of the employing Georgia LUA and the International Exchange Educator.
