Traditional Certification Route (UT)

Description

A traditional certification route is for those, who have completed a traditional educator preparation program, approved by the Utah Board of Education. The requirements for the Professional Educator License (PEL) include: (1) a completed university-based or alternative educator preparation program; and (2) content knowledge competency (evidenced through tests, major, or experience). PEL can be renewed upon earning 100 professional development points.
