Description
The Preliminary Native Language Speaker Authorization is provided to non-educators entering the education profession to teach their native language as a foreign language in grades K-6 or grades 7-12.
License Valid for 3 Years
They may not substitute or teach classes that go beyond their authorization.

In most states, teachers must apply to the state Individually or through their local School District, or Teacher Program Institution. Requirements for the application are outlined below:

Renewal: Nonrenewable
Once applicants have completed the required coursework, they may apply to convert their preliminary native language teacher authorization to the full native language teacher authorization.

Use Native Speaker Authorization form.

Incomplete applications will be void after 45 days.

All fees are nonrefundable.
$150 fee includes the $85 license fee and the $65 background check fee.
