An Indianapolis Teaching Fellow will have the opportunity to impact communities where systemic inequities and individual prejudices have denied too many children access to an equitable education. However, the program recognizes the first year of teaching is hard. To prepare the fellows for that challenge, they will receive intensive summer training and coaching through Indianapolis Teaching Fellows and complete master’s level certification coursework through Marian University. In the second year, they will continue the coursework and continue teaching under the guidance of a Marian coach. This option is only available to WL teachers pursuing certification in Spanish.
