The state of Mississippi requires teachers of world languages to hold a valid Standard Educator License issued by the Mississippi Department of Education. To get a teaching credential in Mississippi, the applicant must complete the necessary college coursework, teacher preparation program, and standardized tests required by the Division of Educator Licensure of the Mississippi Department of Education. Standard Educator License can be awarded as a Class A (bachelor’s degree level), Class AA (master’s degree level), Class AAA (specialist’s degree), or Class AAAA (doctorate degree level).
