Description
To become a licensed classroom teaching in Texas the applicant must earn a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, complete an Approved Educator Preparation Program, and pass the appropriate teacher certification exams. A standard educator certificate must be renewed every five years. Classroom teachers must complete 150 continuing professional education (CPE) hours to renew a standard certificate.
