Description

The traditional route is designed for individuals who graduate with a teaching degree from a four-year, college-recommended program of study, which includes student teaching. In order to qualify for the Initial Professional Certificate (IPC) the applicant must pass the designated assessment test. The Missouri initial certificate is a four-year license requiring two-years of mentoring, annual evaluations, participation in a beginning teacher assistance program, a professional development plan, and a total of 30 contact hours of professional development during the four years. Upon successful completion of the four years of teaching and requirements, the educator may apply for the Career Continuous Professional Certification (CCPC).
