To meet the minimum education requirements for a standard Arizona teacher certificate, the applicants must have proof of a bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited post-secondary institution. In addition, they must complete an accredited or state-approved teacher preparation program. This program may be part of a bachelor’s degree, a separate post-baccalaureate certificate or master’s program. With the exception of the certification in Native American Language, PreK-12, certification in world languages does not exist as a separate type and falls under the more general Secondary Education, 6-12 certification type.
For additional information about certification, please, consult the Arizona Department of Education.
