Description
The state of Maine does not have direct state certification reciprocity; however, it provides comprehensive options of getting on the certification track via the existing routes. If out-of-state applicants have graduated from any state approved teacher education program and have a valid certificate in the endorsement being sought, they may be eligible for a Conditional or a Professional Certification. If the out-of-state applicant did not attend an approved program, the application can still be reviewed for eligibility for certification via the transcript analysis pathway.
