Description

An interim permission (IP) allows an individual who is eligible for Tier 1 license to fill a position only in situations where a district has an emergency need. Interim Permission is a temporary emergency permission to teach and can be initiated by the school districts only. An IP is sought when the school needs to have a non-licensed individual fill a position in an emergency situation, such as an unexpected resignation, leave of absence, death of the person previously holding the position, or similar emergency.
