A NH Senior Educational Official may hire a candidate who holds a Statement of Eligibility (SOE) to fill a position in the endorsement area and continues employment while pursuing full licensure under an Intern Authorization. After meeting initial requirements to become employed in NH as an educator, this pathway allows 3 years to meet all NH licensing requirements while working under an Intern Authorization under special circumstances, such as Critical Shortage (SOE/SHORT), No Other Available Pathway (SOE/NOPATH), or New Endorsements (SOE/NEWE ND) among others. Candidates applying for an SOE must hold at least a conferred bachelor’s degree and have met the Basic Academic Skills Assessment.
