Description

Vermont educator licensing rules require those who have completed their academic preparation outside of the United States to have their credentials evaluated by a credentials evaluation service. The licensure decision is made through a transcript evaluation route once the report from the credentials evaluation agency is received by the licensure agency. Vermont licensing policy also requires that candidates for licensure show study in the following areas (that may have been included in the applicant’s college education, U.S. citizenship classes or other forms of study): (1) general knowledge of American history and culture, and (2) coursework in the education of the exceptional child (special education).
