Traditional Certification Route (KY)

Description

The traditional Certification Route is for those candidates who have completed an approved Educator Preparation Program and have full-time classroom teaching experience at the appropriate grade level(s) who can then qualify for a Statement of Eligibility (SOE). The SOE allows candidates five (5) years to apply and receive employment as a teacher in a Kentucky school. During the first year of employment, candidates must successfully complete the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program (KTIP).
